Is Buying Right for Me? Ask yourself:
- Can I really afford this home?
- How far is this home from family, friends and/or work?
- What is the culture of the area? Music, food, sports, art, nature, community events, etc.
- What is the cost of taxes in my desired area?
- Am I in a flood zone?
- What school district will I be in? What is it like?
- Do I want to raise my current or future children in this area?
- How prevalent is crime in this area?
- Are there any unique aspects to this property that make it difficult or costly to insure?
- Can I afford the upkeep?
- Have I saved enough?
- Am I carrying too much debt?
- Am I being pressured to “settle down”?
- How secure is my job?
