The annual Housing Fair is a great starting point to have questions answered from experts including lenders, Realtors®, insurance agencies, home inspection firms, non-profit and governments agencies and more! Learn about mortgages and grant programs if you’re thinking of buying a home. Learn about new government programs, sheriff sales, foreclosure prevention and understanding the real estate market. Workshops are held throughout the day and over 25 exhibitors are expected to have booths showcasing their information.
Are you a vendor interested in a booth? Vendor registration forms are available below! The Housing Fair will include an exhibitor area for non-profits, banks, mortgage companies, title companies, home inspectors, credit companies and other housing-related organizations. Space is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and booths with electricity are limited! Download your registration form below!

10:15AM | Sheriff Sales, Tax Sales & Short Sales – Oh My! – Carolyn Prante from Coldwell Banker will talk about the process of buying a sheriff or tax sale property from the Montgomery County. She will also discuss how short sales work and how they differ from government sales. Learn about the advantages and disadvantages of buying these properties. |

11:00AM | Understanding Credit & Credit Scores – Nikki Holcroft, a HUD certified housing counselor from Genesis Housing Corporation, will discuss how credit scoring really works and what can improve your score. |
11:45AM | Show Me the Money – Grant & Low Interest Loan Programs for the First-time Buyers – Kori Springer from the Montgomery County Office of Housing and Community Development has the latest information on grant programs that can help you buy your first home. Dave Eglin from First Heritage, Carolyn Prante from Coldwell Banker and Robert Butcher from PHFA will review how to use these programs in the home buying process. |

Also discussed will be the impact of student loans on mortgages and how to buy even if you have student loans. |
